NASACRE RE/Spiritual Resources - Home Tutoring

With the current situation below are some resources which may be useful for home tutoring.

Hedgehog and Tortoise want to give each other a great big hug, but they're not allowed to touch. From the creators of the familiar book The Hug by Eoin McLaughlin and Polly Dunbar, comes a new version of this well-loved story: While We Can't Hug. It is perfect for helping children to understand different ways of responding to the current requirements for social distancing.

Hussain Manawer’s Poem in Tribute to Coronavirus Victims was commissioned by BBC Breakfast to mark three months since the first person in the UK is known to have died from the disease. Many families and communities grieving throughout this pandemic have had to mourn at a social distance without being able to say the goodbyes they wanted or hug their loved ones. This might be useful in your school for a commemorative act of collective worship.

Restore our Schools

This model highlights seven key areas which, alongside learning, are where we need to stimulate thinking and make decisions in order to collectively move forward into a healthy ‘new normal’. The areas intersect, interconnect and affect each other, as we all do. Restore our Schools is a lens through which staff, children and parents can look at the strategy and plans that are needed for everyone’s well- being in a fast changing environment and for a safe and healthy return to school.
